BRAISED ORIENTAL STYLE


1 (3-3 1/2 lb.) beef chuck roast
olive oil or canola 2 tbsp
1 can (16 oz.) beans germinated, rinsed and drained
water chestnuts (5-oz) 1 box, drained, thin sliced
medium green Bell 1 pepper, cut into 1-inch size pieces
cider vinegar or white 1/4 cup
1 tbsp of soy sauce sodium
1 clove chopped garlic
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp pepper


Trim the fat of the roast and cut, if necessary to fit into the crock pot or slow cooker. Heat oil in a large skillet and Brown roast in hot oil. Place the meat in the pan. Add the sprouted beans, water chestnuts and peppers to the pot.


In a small bowl, combine the jam, vinegar, soybean, garlic, salt, pepper and ginger. Pour the mixture on the meat and vegetables in the crock pot. Cover the cooker and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove the meat and vegetables.


Skim fat from liquid in the pot. Measurement of two cups of liquid. Return meat and vegetables to the stove and replace the cover.


Sauce:
1 can Mandarin (11 oz)
3 tablespoons corn starch
reserved cooking liquid 2 cups


Drain oranges but 1/4 cup of juice of reserve. In a small saucepan, slowly to blend the juice in the cornstarch; incorporate the cooking liquid. Cook, stirring, until thickened and bubbly. Incorporating heat and orange sections.

ROAST BEEF REALLY DIFFERENT


roast beef (approximately 3 lbs) 1
mix sauce ranch dry pkg 1
1 pkg dry mixture of brown sauce
mixture of Italian dressing dry pkg 1
pkg of 1/2 dry mixed onion soup
2 cups water


Combine the dry mixtures with water and stir to dissolve. Place the roast in the crock pot or slow cooker; Pour the mixture of water on the roast. Cover and cook for the approximately 5 to 6 hours or until done.
