Crock pot was certainly cooking for dinner easier especially for busy housewives who want only prepare a sumptuous and healthy dinner for the family despite a hectic schedule. Having found a place in modern kitchens, this can be left unattended for hours at a time while participating in distance to other tasks and can be back with a hot meal waiting. A dish that is best cooked in a crock pot is luncheon meat.
There are different versions of how to cook and I have only one version of my own of the base and was just added a few twist with some other additional ingredients. I usually Cook this special occasions but with a slow cooker around you can have it as long as you want. Select cheaper cuts of meat that it works better with crock pot cooking because it has less fat and the long, slow cooking makes it very tender meat. 1 lb ground pork¾ Cup crumbs½ cup finely chopped carrots6 tbsp minced green bread and bell pepper¼ Cup red onions, finely chopped4 cloves garlic, finely chopped1 cup sweet pickle relish¼ raisins3 eggs½ any Cup grated cheddar cheese3 tablespoons catsup1 tbsp liquid cornstarchdash seasoningsalt & pepper, eggs cooked hard taste3, quarteredaluminum sheetHow to make meatloaf:
Mix all ingredients in a bowl to mix thoroughly except hard cooked eggs.
Divide into parts of your desire. Place a part on a piece of aluminum foil, flatten and place the eggs cooked hard at the Centre and cover with half of the mixture and roll to closely form in newspapers. Pat edges to seal. Drag the rest of the portions. (It is recommended that the size of the single loaf the crock pot with enough space for air to ensure good cuisine).
Place the bread in a crock pot. (Place crumpled foil on the bottom of the pot to keep the bread of fatty EFA).
Cover with the lid and cook the meat loaf low for 8 hours.
Leave to cool, decide in rings and serve with ketchup or mayonnaise for a dip or sauce to your favorite food.
Makes 4 to 6 servings
This can be used as a deli or fry slightly before cutting ring. Eat with rice freshly cooked to a perfect meal.
Refrigerate additional meatloaf and return to it when you feel some cravings for it once more.
