CHICKEN SAUSAGE AND RICE CROCK POT RECIPE


2-1/2 to 3 lbs chicken
1 tbl. olive oil
8 oz cooked Turkey smoked, cut in half lengthwise and sliced sausages
1 large onion sliced
3 cloves of garlic chopped
thyme 2 tsp dried, crushed
1/4 TSP pepper
1/4 TSP ground turmeric
1 14-1/2 oz is chicken broth
1/2 cup water
2 cup chopped tomatoes
2 yellow or green bell peppers, cut into strips of very thin bite
1 cup green peas, frozen
Cut 3 hot cooked rice


Chicken skin. Rinse the chicken; Pat dry. In a chicken pieces of large Brown stove, half of the time, in hot olive oil. Drain fat. In a crock pot 3-1/2, 4 or 5 Quart place the chicken pieces, Turkey and onion sausage. Sprinkle with garlic, dried thyme, black pepper and turmeric. Pour the broth and water on all. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or the top 3-1/2 to 4 hours. Add tomatoes, peppers, peas of the stove. Coverage; Let stand for 5 minutes. Serve on rice.
